CHICAGO, Ill. – The men’s basketball team came just short of a win against Moody Bible on Tuesday night, losing 52-50.
Moody’s Steve Harrison was nearly unstoppable with 27 points off 55% field goal shooting, while Matt Hunter tried to match him with 22 points, shooting 6-14 for 43% from three-point land.
Junior forward Joel Borchardt (Watertown, Wis.) notched 11 points and 11 rebounds as the only other scorer in double figures.
As a team, Maranatha shot 38% from field goal range, while Moody recorded 43% field goal shooting. Neither team had much success as a team from beyond the arc, as Moody shot 29% while Maranatha shot 26%.
